Angela Thomas

Managing Director

Angela has a broad range of experience within the property development industry and project management fields. She has held executive level positions and company directorships many associated development companies over the years which has culminated in the establishment of the CPPA group. Angela brings a level of oversight and management to CPPA that will ensure steady operational progress and maintain the corporate governance standards that will be integral to the prolonged growth and credibility of the Company. Angela also works closely within the company to develop project management plans, construction programming, budgeting and cash-flow analysis that determine the overall suitability of particular project choices within the company.

Alison Pitts

Accounts Manager

Alison has worked in the accounting and finance field for over 30 years and has more than 20 years’ experience within the property development, construction and real estate environments.

She has attained Cert IV Accounting, Cert IV Bookkeeping, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Prince 2 (Project Management) and is a registered BAS Agent.

Recently, Alison has come from a busy office as the Finance / Administration Manager of a wholesale/ manufacturing company in Narangba.

Alison is professional and thorough in her dealings with customers, suppliers and colleagues while maintaining a good working relationship with her team and fellow workmates to ensure that the CPPA build programme is monitored and supported efficiently.

Paul Stringer

Senior Consultant - NSW

Paul brings over 30 years personal experience across a abroad spectrum of discipline’s in the fields of Finance, Investment and Property markets to the dynamic team at CPPA . Having held Real Estate licenses in NSW, ACT and currently QLD where he resides on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Purchasing his first property unassisted at the tender age of 20 in Sydney’s King Cross sparked a passion and belief to learn the art of property investing, which is still very much alive today. Switching to a full time general real estate role at 24. Paul quickly rose through the ranks of various franchises’ including Nationwide PRD, Century 21 and The Professional’s to serve on the board of The Property Owners’ Association of NSW as vice president. Successful roles within Real Estate development and Project Marketing companies both in the rural and residential sectors followed. Barry Ison

Senior Consultant - NSW

Barry’s unique and professional approach with investment advice comes from over 30 years’ experience in Real Estate covering most states of Australia. As part of Barry’s credentials he holds current licences in Real Estate and Mortgage Brokering. Barry has worked extensively in the past, by assisting developers in costing and evaluating suitable development projects by way of feasibility analysis, active price negotiation and builder qualification / assessment. So he believes in researching areas to be invested in for the best outcome. In 2004 to 2009 Barry has been involved as part owner/director in several 10 storey projects developments (valued $110m), management and sales/marketing side of the company’s operations. Also part owner of an Architectural Business.Barry has assisted a large number of investors entering the investment market for the first time and shown them how to become wealthy using property as one of a number of vehicles to achieve that outcome. He always listens to his client’s needs and gives them what they require.

Gerard O'Brien

Senior Consultant - VIC

Gerard moved to Queensland from Tasmania as a Builder in 1987 having obtained his trade certificate as a Carpenter and Joiner. He started his Carpentry Apprenticeship later than normal, as he studied Accountancy in Launceston at TAFE for a period of 2 years. In 1994 Gerard moved in to the investment side of the Life Insurance industry and attained full accreditation with both AMP and Colonial Life, two of Australia’s largest companies in the market. Having then become a fully licensed Finance Broker, Gerard has worked with many Residential Property Market Investors throughout Australia, assisting them to start and grow successful property portfolios. Gerard’s experience is both National and International, given that he has conducted many Investment Seminars and Property Exhibitions throughout Australia and Asia. He has represented major Australian Property Developers in New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. As a highly experienced Finance Broker, Gerard has invaluable knowledge of Property Gearing and Structuring to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Johann Prins-Gurtel

Senior Consultant - WA

Johann arrived in Australia 7 years ago. He started working as a Real Estate Consultant with one of the largest privately owned property groups in Australia operating out of Melbourne. Johann was with them for 5 years eventually becoming State Manager for WA. Johann later joined another very large property investment business as a Sales Consultant and settled on over 85 properties in 2013 alone. His experience in investment property sales is prolific, having assisted in settling over 400 properties since arriving in Australia. We are very excited to have Johann join us here at CPPA. Johann also has vast experience in commercial property, specialising in selling Hotels and Wine Estates, but has really enjoyed the move to residential property investment over seven years ago. Johann holds a certificate of Registration as a Real Estate and Business Sales Representative in all states of Australia.

John Tardy

Senior Consultant - NSW & QLD

John entered the property industry in Sydney joining the Hayson Group in January 1974 and quickly established himself at the top of the project marketing division during a severe downturn in the property market. John progressed to his own project marketing and property development company some 5 years later. Over the next 10 years, John’s Company was responsible for developing, marketing and selling out many residential projects, but in particular he gained a reputation for taking on and selling out many difficult residential projects for his clients. John has been involved in joint venture developments with major public and private companies, specialising in the strata conversion and sale of many of Sydney’s old buildings. John has consulted to a number of major Australian and International companies on significant residential projects and he has been intimately involved with new building technology over many years and was instrumental in the establishment of the Smart Masonry Building System in Australia and internationally. John has been involved in the affordable housing market both here in Australia and Internationally for many years. He has advised many of Australia’s largest land developers, not for profit landowners and Local Governments on affordable housing options. This extensive experience is invaluable particularly with today’s affordable housing crisis. John holds a full Real Estate License in Queensland, has a Diploma in Development Management and a Diploma in Financial Services. He brings a wealth of investment experience to clients of CPPA and is a highly regarded property investment advisor.

Darren Chapman

Information Technology Consultant – Pivotal Data Solutions

Darren is an Electronics Engineer and holds an MBA in Advanced Technology Management. He brings to the table over 25 years of experience from shop floor to executive positions across several industries including manufacturing, professional services and agriculture. He has travelled extensively for business and fully understands and appreciates the benefits modern technologies bring to a mobile workforce. Darren ensures CPPA systems are kept up to date and are available with the right information for the right people where and when they need it. He is also constantly searching for and testing the latest information and communication technologies for CPPA to implement where they offer measurable benefit to both CPPA and our clients.

David Saulsman
